1. Can I change the 3pdt (record/stop) to a momentary switch so I can record only while the button is pressed?

2. If so, can I have the loop played immediately after the release of the button?
   (instead of pressing another button)

1. In theory, yes. Try it out and see how it goes. Let us know.

2. Not that I know of. It requires activating another switch, so you'd have to press with your other foot as you simultaneously released the momentary one.
