Shorting Jacks

I accidentally ordered shorting jacks. I can't imagine it'll make any difference to my builds, but would like to know for sure?

For all intente and purposes, are they interchangeable with non-shorting jacks?

no sure what a shorting jack is... do you mean stereo jacks?

if you don't want to use batteries (ie install battery clips) you don't have to use stereo jacks, no.

They are interchangeable as long as you got mono and stereo shorting jacks. Just don't use the switched tabs.
