I was actually just talking about this with someone the other day.  It would look really cool.

My roommate and I once spent about an hour looking at giant Frankenstein-y knife switches on ebay. Since they've got so much space between the lugs, I had the idea to build a circuit in the middle of them...not sure how you'd shield it, though.
