Biasing the Rangemaster

Hi everybody, I just finished the building of my java boost following this schematic: http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.it/2012/05/keeley-java-boost.html
Everything seems to be in the correct place but I have a quite low output.
I set the two trimmers at 68k and 3.9k as suggested on geofex pdf, then I set the bias at -7.2v measuring between the collector leg and the +9v input.
Is this the correct way to set the bias? How can I have a louder output?
