Loud humming / ringing on rat vero build

I'm building a rat from vero (tag board effects version) and bypass works but when I engage the effect I get a loud ringing / humming that the sustain pot will actually change the pitch of as you turn it before it will eventually cut off

Any ideas?

First clue would be the humming sound. Ground issues make those sorts of sounds.

Work the typical debugging steps and you should be ok.

I think humming is the wrong word for it - it is a solid constant tone and the pitch will change as the sustain pot is turned

If it isn't grounding issue than its a mistake you made some where. Whip out you probes and trace the signal, maybe you got a pin out wrong or something
