Sorry to bombard you with builds, I just wanted to bring these to your attention, and how versatile these pedals can be.

and the back

a little bit of vero action...and yes...my table is really tidy :D it's better now, I've came to my senses in the meantime...

and another one [I built 4 of these]

If anyone wants to know anything about these, I will be happy to answer.

Here's some sound samples

This is me playing some blues rock inspired by the song Love Hate Relationship by Lance Lopez, bridge pickup of my tele, vox ac30 simulation [unfortunately I couldn't do a better recording]

and here's a completely different setup comprising of my SG, into a TS808 clone made by me, then into the Pharaoh, and then into a Fender Bassman 100. Both the ts808 and the Pharaoh were ON while we were recording. We were waiting for our bass player to appear so we hit it hard...it's all complete improvisation but you can hear how HARD and HEAVY this combo sounds, and you can play chords through it and it doesn't go mushy and too muddy, you can hear the notes. we were just exploring some heavy ideas on the spot, no composed music here. this was recorded by a single overhead mic. still, I think it showcases the pedal really well. if you were thinking that you need this or that for those FAT Mastodon alike sounds, this combo right here is the stuff guys!

Dewd! Yes!!! I just put this circuit together this weekend along with a few other fuzzes and I am blown away! I'm glad you said this because I'm planning on putting it after my green bean on my board.

Love that artwork! Still not sure what I'm doing for mine, but gotta keep it Egyptian. What are the 5th and 6th knobs!?

Thanks guys!
The layout I was using was Harald Sabro's layout, get over to sabrotone.com and get one for yourself, he has wonderful vero layouts.

What are the 5th and 6th knobs!?

On the yellow Pharaoh there is an additional knob, and on the black/gold version there are two. But you only really need the 5th so to speak. It's the R12/13 resistor on Muff schematics, depending of the schematic, but you'll recognize it by being the one that passes signal to the second clipping stage, it usually has a value of 6.2/6.8K but this resistor is very very important and greatly determines the overall sound of the muff. Also what it does is makes your picking attack more or less salvaged when you play, if you turn it all the way down, to zero K you can hear your picking hand quite nicely without loosing sustain and gain only saturation!, and if you cranck it, than the muff has even more saturation and less clarity, it's all good. Think of it as a pre-gain/clarity/saturation control all in one. I will never build a muff without it.
On the gold/black one I added one more [R6/7 depending of the schem] that does the same thing but to the first clipping stage, and frankly, while it does add some more tones, I don't use it as much, so I wouldn't call it a must. Just make the R12/13 resistor a pot and you'll be very happy.

Ok, tell us EVERYTHING from capacitors values to what the 3 switches do!  ;D
