I know the feeling, man.  I've only trashed two PCB's ever, and both were in the "early" days and due to desoldering issues/pads lifting due to heat (bear in mind I've only been at this a little over a year).  Do you use desoldering wick or a desoldering pump?  I am a pumper myself.

Hell, I've burnt/lifted since then, but now make ghetto resistor leg jumpers to make the needed connection.  ;D

I'm guessing you bought the new guitarpcb tabbed version, which are a bitch to desolder because the eyelets are too small.   I ruined one of the chilicons trying to remove a pot.

Yeah it was. I use a desoldering iron and it just won't grab it. I couldn't tin the wires because the holes are too small and they tend to break when you do it that way.apparently they have 2 or 3 build documents on their web site and I was using the wrong one. So while desoldering a resister I broke a wire and screwed up the rest. F it cut the wires off trashed it.i will live to fight another day.maybe build another Paramix one day, just not anytime soon.

Oh man, those tiny eyelets'll get ya.  I prefer solid-core or pre-tinned wire in general, especially for those boards since tinning just makes stranded wire too bulky.

I'll try some of the retained wire.solid core seems a bit brittle to me.especially with the 6 jacks the Paramix has.
