Honeydripper cap question

I used some BOM for mouser I found on the forum and it came with ceramic caps instead of electrolytic. They are the right value. Can I use them with no ill effects? Thanks

which cap numbers are they on the BOM?  are you sure they aren't tantalums?

the caps are these guys:

   Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors MLCC - Leaded 2.2uF 25volts X5R +/-10%

they are in C9-C11 and C18 &C19 I believe

c9-c11 should be cool
I think 18 & 19 should be polarized 10uF's

hmm. ok. for my own understanding more than anything, why would there be a need in that location for polarized caps but not in C9-11?

well I don't think you should use 2u2 there; that's the main point I was trying to make.  honestly i don't know if they need to be polarized but 10u caps usually are polar.  Those 2 caps are in the power section, while 9-11 are caps down in the audio portion of the circuit.  if you look at the schematic you'll probably see what i mean.

if you're in the states and need a couple of 10uF electro caps I might be able to help you out.

just went through my meager stash of spares and actually found a pair of 10ufs so I'm set. it was like finding gold.
