Pork Barrel dead when vibe is engaged (solved)

What's up gang? Long time lurker and builder for a while...  I searched the boards and noticed other people with the issue of getting clean signal only, then when engaging the Vibe switch, it all goes quiet.

I built the Pork Barrell with all mods, no substitutions. I etched my own board. Got my 3101 & 3007 off ebay. I realized that I used the v1.5 build documents.

My build did this at first, I poured over it for bridges, oreintation of components, etc.

When I swapped my 3101 and 3007 for some different ones, then the pedal came to life. All switches worked fine, pedal sounded killer. I boxed it up, played it for quite a while, then it died out again and is exhibiting the same issue with vibe switch causing the pedal to go silent. I'm out of chips to swap til I order some. Just want to see if anything looks out of whack that might be frying something.

I'm going to go at it with an audio probe tonite, but wondered if any gurus had any quick ideas from looking at my voltages.

Thanks in adavance,

Scott

Just an update.. As I audio probe though it, the audio seems to stop with pin 3 on the 3007. Should I have audio leaving from one of the other legs of it? Thanks

Hello Smack!

Pin 3 of the MN3007 is the input. Pins 7 & 8 are the outputs to this IC. There should be audio from these pins as they are connected together. If you have no sound here, either the IC is bad or something down the line is killing the signal.

Thanks for the reply.  ;D

I'm not getting any audio off legs 7 or 8 of it with the probe so was thinking that's the culprit.

I have did give each point on the board a quick reflow to rule out any cold solder joints and checked again for any bridges as I went along.

I've got some replacement 3007s in the mail.

Just an update in case anyone else stumbles across my thread that is having the same issue...

I replaced the 3007 chip and all is working great.

Thanks to everyone that took the time to check out the post to see if they could help.
