Slow Loris mod for NO Sweep

Not really a fan of the Ruetz mod so if I want to not use the sweep pot, do I just put a 1k resistor across pins 1 & 2  or do I put a jumper across 1 & 2  ???   ???

ya just jumper 1&2 (or 1 & 3). Stock, the circuit has only 47R to the 2.2uF cap.
