My earlier experience of the Thunderpuss/Jack Orman mosfet boost and Red Llama sais that they make a perfect couple:) ... So i put those two circuits on the same PCB and boxed it.

...also, it feels great to return to square one now n then. So i let the 8 yo kid paint the enclosure. He was done in about 30 seconds. "completed already?" ... "Yes!"... "sure?"... "Yes!" "ok". Simplicity is beautyful.

Cheers:)

Which comes first in the circuit if you have them both on, the Llama or the boost?

I like the technique you used for wiring the LEDs. I'm sure I would have over-thought it! Is each resistor in the usual 4.7k neighborhood? Or is it necessary to do something different, since they're sharing the power?

Vallhagen

Hi Bret.

The booster comes first, then the OD. Try it on your breadboard:)

Yes, the LED current limit resistors are both the "common" 4k7, and as they are wired as parallell circuits 9V-gnd, theres no need to think different:)

Cheers
