Rant ... So this review of some friends' album [sexism sucks, don't do it]

A couple friends of mine play in an eclectic alt-country duo (www.missshevaughnyumawray.com), and they got reviewed in a blog recently.

The woman in the band is a GREAT singer, and the review mentions this, but she also plays a lot of the lead guitar and lead everything else (glock, keys, banjer, seriously, almost everything). And yet there's no mention of her playing any of those half dozen instruments in the review, and he just makes it sound that all the guitar parts are played by her partner.

I guess I'm just venting. Women have a hard time in a lot of places in the music industry, but especially in rock and as guitarists. Sexism sucks. Don't do it.
