I am considering building a Bazz Fuzz/Rub-A-Dub combo box for a gift and have a few questions. This info will also help in future as I can foresee doing some other combo projects in the future.

1. Possible to power from a single 9v battery? (I don't use batteries but he does)
2. How to implement a switch or toggle to flip the order of the boards?
3. Possible to have footswitch(es) to control each and also both at once?

Thanks!

I'll jump in, but I'm sure others with a bit more info will chime in as well
1. yes, probably. the Bazz fuzz should be no problem since fuzzes and ODs generally don't use many mA. I don't know how much power the Rub-A-Dub uses...probably more than a PT2399 delay. That would be the deciding factor.
2. here's an idea http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/juggler/juggler.htm you can omit the LED and use a 3pdt toggle. you'd almost never want reverb first unless you're going for some zany sounds

3. There's probably a way. The simplest way would be to have two footswitches close enough together that you could step on both at the same time or either/or.

Also this is how everyone does the most common "two effects one box, two switches"

Or you can use Madbean's standard wiring diagram: Input jack -> input lug of 1st switch -> output of 1st switch goes to input lug of 2nd switch->output jack etc
