Hi Folks,
Here is my Ego Driver I finally got all decal'd and put back together. I've been using this for a while and really liking it a whole lot, so it took a while to finally decide take it off the board long enough to get it decal'd and clearcoated. This build had a lot of "Doh!" moments. For example, I forgot to drill a place for the clipping switch, stuff got soldered on backwards, can't remember it all now but there was a bunch.  Anyway, I like the stock clipping as is so I just jumpered the solder posts & left the switch off for now.  This is the first build I've had with board mounted pots, love it!

This looks so good! Nice build man, I love my Egodriver as well. Only thing I can think of to make it even more orange is an orange LED, but never seen one of those....... Being from Holland, I have to like orange (we are ruled by the House of Orange, you know!), and if you've watched the olympics and seen the Dutch women's hockey team, you'll understand I love it!  ;) Cool pedal!

thanks Paul! The LED looks yellow when it's off but it's actually orange when lit. I thought the all-orange theme, including LED, would be cool but unfortunately the LED kind of blends in with all the other orange stuff. Another "Doh!" moment.  :D

Cool, an orange LED! Where did you get that? Still, you need to check out the Dutch women's hockey team, hot!  ;D  Hope to see some more of your builds here! BTW: we all have our "DOH!!!" moments!

Nice one gginther! :)

I have a question concerning this circuit, the original can be run on 18v, could we run this one on 18v if all capacitors are rated over that voltage?

Or it needs a «special» part to be added.

I know the IC can take it, so that's no biggie.

Thanks

thanks guys! Paul, I'm not sure where I got the LED, it's either from Mammoth or Futurlec.

I see what you mean about the Hockey team!  :o

Rej, seems like I read somewhere it can do 18v. Here's a build report:

I'll try to populate one of my boards tonight, they're not Egodriver, but they share an almost same layout.....couple differences but nothing major.

I'll let you guys know ;)

Yes, it's good for 18v!
