Yo Brian,
Are 2N5088's or 2N5089's suitable replacements for the BC549C's? Is the switch an ON-ON, and, got a photo or wiring diagram for the switch?

hey gmd

you can definitely use 5088's.  just turn them 180 facing the other direction.  5089's would probably be cool too.
the switch is an on on, and the wiring diagram for it is down on pg 6 of the q-vibe pdf.

5089 may be a little less noise and is very on par with the BC549C. There should be little if any difference tonewise---I just kinda like the BC and I have a bunch of them :)

Speaking of which, I just worked out an idea for the QuadrovibeII this morning by coincidence. Think more vibrato and LFO options.
