Meathead/ Snack Shack Trannies

So I recently built a Meathead and am wondering what trannies u guys used for Q2..... I built this on vero board (to easy of a build not too) and also added a spst switch to select between the input cap of .01 (normal) and .1 (dark version)....

I went with a 2n4401 in Q2, I tried 2n3904 and 2n5088 but the 2n4401 was the hands down winner.... I do not have any other trannies on hand and was wondering what else to try if I place an order soon....

FYI.... the "dark meat" switch is a must mod for this pedal......2 versions in one...why not
