Question about Charge pump, probably an easy one

Hi all!

I notice on the inverted (-9v) output of the roadrage there is a 1n4001.  I was going to use this to power a rangemaster, and also noticed that it has a 1n4001 to ground (as usual), same orientation where the road rage plugs into.

I was just thinking, couldnt you omit one of the 1n4001's?  Is the road rage 1n4001 there to ensure that if its connected to a circuit without polarity protection, its covered?  So you could just leave it off?

Yes, you they are polarity protection diodes and you can be safe omitting one of them.
