Finished this project while everyone was asleep at home.
It's a Shin-ei companion fuzz using a Pigeon Fx board, 2n5089 trannies, vintage cloth wire (first time using it and man I love this wire! I'll use it on all future builds, now I don't need a wire stripper anymore...).
I salvaged an old pink enclosure from PPP I used for an aborted project, just added a new layer of paint and removed the white paint to trace this lettering, I'm not that happy of the result.
Now I know why sinner of freestompboxes said "it's a so crappy this is genius circuit".
This thing is huge, there's plenty of really cool fuzz sounds depending on the fuzz pot and the guitar volume.
Can't wait to test it on my own gear  ::)
A highly recommended build  ;)

I built one awhile back and loved it also! Its soo nasty..but great for getting really fuzzy heavy blues rock tones.

ya shin ei fuzz is underrated, i should refurb mine that i built a couple years back, it was one of the first pedals i built from scratch.

How did you find the Pigeon FX board? I checked out their site and they seem to have what you might call exact replica circuit boards.

Except that 2 holes was not drilled (that was done in a minute...) the boards are really cool!
Exact replicas on phenolic material, well etched... I took the kit, you only have to order the trannies to finish the board. Packaging and shipping to France took 2 weeks.
If I didn't had around 20 PCBs to finish at home I would order another kit from there  ;)
