supanoob Firebomb pcb question

Hi again,

I did a search for this and I couldn't find anything which means... I'm the only one here that doesn't get it 

On the Firebomb project documentation, why does the Layout diagram (page 2) on look so different than the pcb on page 6? It has less parts and the year is different as well. I'm a little confused and not sure how to proceed 

Any help would be supercalifragislisticexpealidocious!

Page 2 layout is the fabbed board.  Page 6 is the single-sided board layout for etching your own.
