Thanks for posting the pics -- this is a fun (but painful) exercise!

So far I haven't found any resistors with the wrong value, but I can't quite make them all out.  If your transistors are 2n5088's, they're oriented correctly.

[Apologies -- I edited this next paragraph a few times....]

The one thing I have noticed is that your collector resistors for stages 2 and 3 (R12, R17) connect to a different rail than the collector resistor for stages 1 and 4 (R6, R22).  Are you bridging power up to that top-most rail?  If so, I can't see it in the photos.

Actually, it looks like you're bridging those rails with C14 and C15, which should actually go from power to ground.

you were right..
in fact i'm not bridging those rails at all, the top one is VC the lower one is ground.. the collector resistor of the last stage was stuck into ground!
i changed that and it screams !

Cool!  Glad you got it rockin'.  I love mine, but at some point I need to build another one with the mids control.
