With the troubles in southeast Asia, I don't think Tayda will be unaffected :( I hope Hugo is okay.

What I'm wondering is if anyone knows where I can find this particular jack.
6.35mm 1/4

I've looked at Small Bear, LMS, and StompboxParts with no luck. The Tayda page is a PN and manufacturer that just leads back to that page. I'm certain it's a clone of some existing jack, but I have no clue which one it is. Lumberg?

Anyhow, if you have a clue, please let me know. Thanks.

?
Thanks. I'm looking for a metal threaded version, though :)

And yikes, is that price because it's "Marshall?" :o I think i saw switchcraft had something similar to that plastic one.

I promised myself I'd never use AliExpress, but figured a search wouldn't hurt to look. Found another PN, but it's not consistent across different sellers, with some of them showing a plastic-shafted version. "PJ-601B" seems to be the best.

ugly link to an ebay listing, but it just has to be cloned from something else of plausibly better quality...

I'd consider the Neutrik jack that Peter uses for his VFE builds... It's a matter of judging strength vs footprint. I wonder how long those PJ jacks would actually last, given the track record of thin metal in other MiC clones. The footprint of that PJ jack is so convenient for IO board designs.

Thanks for the lead. Looked into Same Sky's catalog and no luck :-\

I was DMing another member on the PPCB forum, and he's mostly convinced it's actual a unique design. Interesting. I do like the idea of putting the stress of insertion mostly on the chassis rather than the PCB.
