i'm trying to build this pedal but can't seem to adjust the trimpot to 6 volts for biasing the transistor i've tried different things and still i don't get anything mind you i am testing this on a braedboard firstand so far no luck any suggestion

A higher value trimpot should do it, or even just a fixed resistor that gets you close to the 6-ishV on the drain.
