This stuff looks amazing guys!! Thanks so much for helping out.

I'm trying to figure out a way to attract more followers, I have been talking to various people and seeing what to do, and I think it comes down to needing more content. I put a profile of my builds and stuff up, but could really use a couple more.

So far I've got a lot of builders following the page but I want to start attracting more general guitar players a little before we start with the auctions.

You can see what I've done so far. If I can get a couple more guys to fill out the profile questions and send a couple of pictures then I'm going to start asking around for people with bigger followings to share. I've already found a couple of commercial companies willing to repost stuff in their stories once we have a little more content.

Thanks guys

I've been getting stuff up on the IG page, it's starting to come together a bit. Please take a look. And keep those profiles coming!

That's great. I'm going to o have to look into how we can utilize this.

So here is a draft of the language I plan on using for the auctions.

Do Good, Get Pedals, Play Loud!

We are a collective of effects pedal maker's who have come together to raise money for humanitarian causes.

Auctions will be starting soon for handmade pedals from some very talented builders.

Here is how it will work:

Bidding will be done in the comments each auction post.
Winning bidder will use the provided link to make a donation directly to one of the charities listed in the auction post.
Winning bidder will provide proof of donation to pedalsforukraine@gmail.com
We will mail you the pedal
Make some noise!

We have chosen to focus on the following charities at this time:

-The World Central Kitchen
-The USA for UN Relief Agency
-The Ukrainian Red Cross
-Doctor's Without Borders

Please follow us to see what auctions are coming.

I am also going back and forth on deciding about having minimum bids and minimum bid increments, what do you guys think?

What about "Do Good, Sound Great, Play loud!"?

I like that.

Ultimately I'd like to have some sort of slogan that is simple and will catch people's eyes.

Hi everyone just a quick update. I have a couple people who've contacted me with pedals ready to go and I plan on starting auctions today or tomorrow. It depends when I have time to make a video clip of how something sounds.

A few people have ask what I need to get things posted. Here is what I'm thinking for how this will work and what I'll need you guys to do.

1. could you do a builder profile like I have up on the IG page for a few people now. Email it to pedalsforukraine@gmail.com brief answers to the questions I posted along with a few pictures is perfect. https://www.instagram.com/pedalsforukraine/

2. email pictures of the pedal and a shot description of it for the auction post. If you are willing please make a short video of the pedal being played to show how it sounds. I think videos will increase the bids quite a bit.

3. Once the auction is over I'll verify the donation and share the proof with you. Then you will just need to mail the pedal to the winner and send me the tracking number to pass it along to the winner.

Please go ahead and send Bios even if you pedals aren't done. They seem to be drawing a lot of attention as teasers.

We are getting close to 100 followers on instagram, and momentum has been slowly building and I am going to do my best to keep it going.

I'd also still like to do stickers, I might look into a place to order them, but I would need some help from someone in the states to split them up and send them to everyone. If somebody would be willing to do that I'll try to figure out a place to get them.

Please guys let me know if you have any questions. If anyone could give me timeline updates that would be cool too, just shoot a pm or email.

Thank you so much guys!!

Are we setting a minimum bid for each pedal?  I'd hate to see one go for less than its fair value.

I've been considering this. I think partly it's going to depend on the maker, but I'm leaning towards starting them at $50 and having people bid in $5 increments, but none of that is set in stone.

What do you guys think?

matmosphere

Just a quick update guys, we have a little over 100 follower's on instagram and I just started the first auction. Please go take a look and let me know what you think.

Next one is almost ready to get started as well. Third should be a couple days later.

Maybe just run one at a time?

Yeah, I had been originally thinking of doing that, but I think having some overlap might help keep the momentum (if I can build some up) in motion.

I'm guessing there might be some gaps, but we'll see. I think I can cobble together a couple weeks with what I have from people so far, and other's have said they'll have stuff close to ready soon as well.

harryklippton

I'm thinking one auction at a time will concentrate bids to that listing but you're right about trying to keep momentum too

matmosphere

Okay, so when I checked yesterday we had about a hundred followers and the pedal was going for $60, this morning its $120 and we have 150 followers.

That escalated quickly.

I'm a little busy but I might try and start the next auction today if I can get to it.
