Hello,
i just built a Lectric's Pork Rind . At the first hit it has no proper sound but it sounds low gained and fuzzy. After a couple of times that i played with it stopped . I check everything with multimeter , the components and the cables, conductivity etc... They are ok . The possible mistakes that i did were : 1) i place 1,2kOhm resistors instant of 1kOhm . 2) I placed this trimmer [ https://grobotronics.com/trimmer-10kohm-multiturn-vertical.html ] that could be wrong . Is any of these two a critical mistake for the function of the circuit ?
               Thanks a lot, Romanos

What stopped? Bad sound, or any sound?

R21 1k or 1k2 is not problem. It only helps to set basic DC gain of Q1 or Q5 which is cca R4/R5 or R23/R21. Multi-turn trimmer sets balance of freq doubler (if you mean it). It will make more symetric output to limiting diodes. If sound is not good for too low gain only controll if turning with that trimmer makes equal voltages at basis of Q3 and Q4. BTW problem with gain may be caused by everything in signal path.
