I recently got told in a fb group that I don't understand ground loops ... rather than educate (read that to mean devolving conversation) about all the various sources of hum and what to do about them, I had to walk it off and remind myself that when the only tool you have is a hammer then all problems appear to be nails

I'd say, and in my experience,  most groups and forums devolve pretty quickly. It's instigated my the fact that only one opinion is right and everyone else is stupid. If you know your stuff, let it go.

yeah ... them facebook groups ... I'd generally avoided the diy ones over the years but this one snuck in under the radar
