Hello guys.
After a buffer, a booster, an overdrive, two distortions... it's the fuzz turn.
I want to find a stripboard layout small enough to put into a 1590A box of a chaotic and nasty, but still musical and useble, fuzz. At least two control: Fuzz and Volume.
I have one in my mind, but I want to ask you some suggestion. I already have a Bazz Fuss, so I prefer nothing like one-knob-pot fuzz style (DAM, Colorsound...).

The SRS EQ exciter is a HUGE fuzz in a tiny form factor. The EQ knob has a super wide synth-like range. It's probably my favorite fuzz.

Your creation looks really good. But I'm not sure I can manage a layout so big into a 1590A, honestly.
What jacks there are in that box? Lumberg? I used open frame jack, but I can't go with the board over it.
Anyway, do you have any demo?

The SRS EQ Exciter sounds good enough, it's nasty and aggressive like the fuzz I want, and the tone control is nice. But I would like a version with Gain control, too, and I guess I find a layout small enough with all the three pots. I'll put it into my list.

Midwayfair, I think you missed to link the Orphan Fuzz document and linked twice the Fuzzstainer.
Anyway, I don't know if I like the Orpheum Fuzz, and about the Mosrite, maybe once I'll built the stock version. So, I think I'll leave it out, for the moment, but waiting the right document link, please, if you want. Thanks.

I found your demo of the Fuzzstainer, good job, but It's not the kind of fuzz I'm looking for.

I remembered the Boss T-Bone after I started the topic, I have to do again some researches about it, I know there's some version and mods, but I'll included it in my list, though I didn't search a gated or octave fuzz, wating an eventually confirm.

I can reveal the fuzz I have in mind placing it at the first position.

1. Devi Ever Hyperion (With or without Oscilation pot)
2. SRS EQ Exciter (3 knobs version)
3. Jordan Bosstone - examining...

(I prefer stripboard than protoboard. Protoboard is ok just in case it's smaller than stripboard layout I can find or I can disegn by myself).

The Hyperion is probably about right for you and it's a super easy build. I would recommend skipping the oscillation pot though. When I tried it there was little to no usable benefit to it as anything but kind of cool noise.

About the Hyperion, yes, I find the oscillation pot exactly like you said, it's fun, but I don't know if I really need it.

Meanwhile, I like the KMA Machines Fuzzly Bear version of Bosstone. Is it more aggressive than the original schematic? Anyway, I decided to don't build it now, because I'd build it heavily modded with more pots, so none 1590A box for it.

I like the Hyperion, small, beefy, pretty useble, simple but with a nice range of tone. I still waiting for any other suggestion, there's a lot of fuzz out there, maybe small eoungh for a 1590A box.

I used Lumberg jacks, you could probably also use the normal enclused jacks. The board sits atop the plastic of the jack frame. The trick is low profile electrolytic capacitors.

I don't have a demo, but I'll see if I can get one together. In the meantime, you could look for Tim Escobedo's "Triple Fuzz". That's the circuit that mine evolved from. Mine is a little less saturated and there's an active treble control.

I have a pair of Lumberg and the 1590A box, meanwhile I can try to find the right position into the box.
Enclused jack, do you mean the Boss style? I find in my shops some a bit bigger, I'm not sure I can use it.
I can use film box cap, and the electrolytic low profile.

I don't know if your fuzz is the right for me, but maybe I'll learn how to squeeze the board into this small boxes more than I did until now.
Anyway, I think we will appreciate a demo.
