Loophole Question

I am having trouble with my loophole.
The light turn on and nothing gets recorded.
If I turn on the Play switch my guitar signal gets effected by the filter mode.
Looking at the layout I see the three holes for the 7805 to be seperate but on my board the top two are connected.
What is the correct way?
