I always thought the BC9 was just a bass voiced CS9.  It's interesting to learn different.

Yep, and to clarify... it's a single delay line with 2 oscillators, the A oscillator is faster and the B oscillator is supposedly the same as the CS9

2005 Gibson SG Standard
490R and 498T humbuckers (both on most of the time)
Ibanez AF9 > TS9DX +mode (modded) > SM9 > PT9 > FL9 > BC9 > Maxon DM01
Vox AC30CCH (Normal and TB blended)
Vox 2x12 Cab with Celestion Blues

I did notice that the A side of the BC9 seems to have a lot more range than the B side. B is much slower than I remembered.

For these, it doesn't appear that you can have the A and B side on at the same time like the BC9/BC01/BCL/TC10

Somebody likes their Ibanez

Personally, I'm not keen on the mixed dual LFO sound on a single delay line chorus, something I've tried before and here it seems much the same, just sounds a bit messy and gets tiring to the ear quickly in practice compared to a proper Ensemble style chorus.

But I can't speak for everyone else's feelings on the matter.

I agree... The LFOs seem more like they are fighting rather than "adding complexity".

This is exactly why I pointed out the CCL / PC10  Chorus. It switches between the A and B sides rather than having them both on at the same time. It also has feedback"flange" and delay time controls on the B side.

Not sure how close it is to the CS9, just pointing out the evolutionary aspects of the available options that were added down the line.

Glad I looked back at this! The FL-9 sounds awesome...BC-9 is cool too but I am probably still partial to the CS-9. I too love the 9-series colors...your clip made me miss my old TS-9 and AD-9!
