I can't get some boards I need due to the international postasge embargo so am going to try my hand at making the boards myself here in the UK.

The boards I want to make (and have already bought all the parts for) are the cupcake https://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/_folders/1590A/schematics/Cupcake2020.gif

I understand the schematic pretty will with the acception some what I think are pads which I have highlighted in red here.

Cany anyone tell me what these are please?

Thanks in advace.

Those correspond to terminals on the 3PDT stomp switch.

I have also noticed 3 points on the schematic what say VC in an arrow

Do these want to be connected 9v?

m-Kresol

the flags are "net labels". That means that these are connected without drawing a discrete wire in the schematic. makes for much neater schematics overall. In your case it's the 9V net after polarity protection and power filtering. hope that makes sense.

It does thaks. The way im reading this the top is VC and the others connect to it?

m-Kresol

correct. so basically everything connected to VC has approx. 9V input voltage
