Total Recall Power Supply

I grabbed a geniune EH Power Supply off of Reverb. I'm getting ready to bias the Total Recall, but when I was checking polarity on the Jack I got a reading of nearly 33VDC. The power supply seems genuine and the sticker states 24VDC. I know the regulator in the pedal will knock this down, but is this too high? Will the voltage drop when there is a load?

Are you measuring just the DC adapter? Try measuring another dc adapter to see what it reads. The last place I lived, the power was just crazy high at night.

Wall voltage 118.4 VAC, Reading male plug on adapter 32.54 VDC. Measured w/ Fluke 117

It's fine they all are like that. 24v is what is guaranteed under load.

Anything under 35 volts is ok, the regulator takes care of the excess voltage. All those walwart power supplies that don't say "regulated" on them  are the furthest thing from an accurate output.
