First, thanks for creating and maintaining a site with such good info.

I'm in the planing stages of building two Tube Overdrive pedals (v1.3) and would like to possibly add your 3 or 5 band EQ to the builds. I'm using a slightly larger enclosure (4.5in x 6in) so space shouldn't be an issue. Can you please explain how the EQ board would be wired into the circuit? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
Also, any additional tips / component upgrades for reducing noise?

Thanks for your time,
Joe

For what it's worth, I build and repair tube amps. Mostly JCMs in both 50 & 100w but have built several others too. Couple of other questions regarding the Tube Driver build;

Can the 1N4148 diodes be upgraded to something quieter? On Marshall amps, replacing the 1N4007s with UF4007s made a big reduction in noise. I understand the 1N4148s are all for switching? And the 1N4007s are rectifers but could any improvement be made here?

Pot values- from my experience, audio taper are best for volume and gain controls. Linear taper best for tone controls. From my research I plan to use:
Gain - 500k audio
Volume 100k audio
Treble - 500k linear
Bass - 100k linear
Do those values sound reasonable?

Any experience with trying different ICs in IC3? Looking forward to this build.

Joe
