Celeste chorus problems

Hi all,
I've just finished building the celeste chorus/flanger v1.2 but all i seem to get out of it is a combination of static noise and distorted sounds when i strum my guitar.
At times with the dpdt position down theres no signal passed and the chorus vibe/pot acts like a vol control.
Ive used rc4558,mn3007,lm1458,lt1054,78l15,cd4047be.
I've installed the two jumpers under the 3007 horizontally.
Has anybody got any suggestions where to look first?
