Posting this because I know little about it spec wise (check the specs vs LM741) and thought it would make for an interesting conversation.

I'm obviously not going to be 'firing up the solder iron' for one of these any time soon, don't sneeze!

Or match a few thousand JFETs with them and make a Phase 90,000!

You can match four thousand JFETs right? ....Right?

Not sure what application you would actually need something so small?

Hearing aid?
Wearable?
Walkman for a bullant?

less than 23 cents a pop, assuming you buy a whole reel.

And TI seems to suggest the following:
•  Smart Phones and Wireless Handsets (ok, I can see that)
•  Gaming and Toys (uhhh...)
•  WLAN and Other PC Add-On Cards (yeah, limited foot print, makes sense)
•  TVs and Set-Top Boxes (...what?)
•  Wearable Electronics (I can just see people trying to hand solder these grains of sand for cosplay ridiculousness)

Add them to your favorite serial for some extra crunch in the morning...

I was thinking that too.

I would seriously buy a populated Kilobuffer board for the shear artistic value if it ever became a reality. Plus, it would be worth it to see if any people in the production chain figure out what you are up to. ;D

this IC is good to make EMG-ish wannabe?

You can use some equally minute capacitors! Presenting the 008004 package MLCC

(I think that is actually smaller than the on-die caps on early op amp chips, good lord)

Much like the original series Star Trek phaser is said to be the inspiration for the flip phone, it looks like the Zoolander mini-flip can be a reality as well!

In ear/personal distortion funtimes... This is insane! I can barely see the value of dip 8 ops without a magnifying glass  :o

My hand shakes a lot more than the size of that speck.
