Hi all:

I'm trying to create this clone of a Lovetone Big Cheese, and the schematic calls for a 3P4T rotary switch. This is my first time working on a project with that kind of switch, so would love a little guidance.

Looking to buy this switch from Mammoth Electronics – would a 3P2-4T switch do the trick? What's the difference between this and a 3P4T version?

Thanks in advance.

Rotary switches have a ring that can be repositioned to change the number of throws.  The switch you're looking at can have either 2, 3 or 4 throws, so it will work for your project.

That should work fine. With those switches there is a little washer that you set if you want it to turn 2,3 or 4 times.

If they have ones with solder lugs they will be easier to solder but still easy enough with the PCB mount.

Awesome. Thanks for the quick reply!
