What caps are used for C5,C6,C7 & C8?

They are small positions for relatively large caps.

Thanks for your help.

They look to have the same 5mm lead spacing as the other film caps, so I'm betting box types would would work. You could also use MLCC caps to ensure tinyness. The one picture I can find of a completed board uses panasonic film caps and managed to squeeze 4 in there, so I wouldn't worry too much: http://photobucket.com/gallery/user/Brejna/media/cGF0aDovSU1HXzIwMTUwMzI0XzE1MTQzMl96cHNvMmoyZGdnbC5qcGc=/?ref=

So yeah, I'd wager box-type film caps would work, or MLCC if you're worried about it. But even chunky dipped film caps can be wedged in if necessary.

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate that.

I tried 100v box caps and the 270nF cap was huge. The other box caps worked out okay. I dare say I'll leave these caps till last. I want to use a road rage to provide 18VDC to the DR2.

Looks like Mouser has a few options. Kemet makes a 0.27uF box cap that fits normal-ish specs( 5mm lead spacing, 3.5mm thickness) as well as several MLCC's that would fit the spot. Price is a bit annoying (50 cents for the box cap, 90 cents - 1.50$ for the MLCC.)

You could also buy a bunch of really cheap ceramic disk type 330nF (which are 3 cents each on tayda and have 20% tolerances) and just test them till you find one that is close to 270.

Or just sub in a 220 or 330.
