Xicon resistor price drop

Mouser appears to have dropped the price significantly on Xicon metal film resistors. They are now $2.80 for 200!

That's a nice reversal from their price hike.  And, they really dropped the 10 pc pricing as well.

Just checked and the 1/8W resistors got dropped as well.  Awesome.

Hmm, if we'd just gone back to the previous pricepoint, I would think that maybe they just realized that they could be a loss leader.

DROPPING the price, though, has me worried that they might not be the same manufacture. If anyone orders some and can compare them, let us know.

I'll order some next time I place a Mouser order.  I'll even take a caliper to thebleads and see if they are as beefy.  ;-)

I've switched to the KOA speer as my xicon stock depleted and the leads are thicker than the xicon.  I actually prefer the xicons though as they are easier to for me and my son to bend hundreds of them for some assembly work I'm doing at the moment.

Thinking of trying this though...and buying tape reels...
