As soon as I received the pedal, I just had to pop it open, before even using it!
It's a bunch of smd stuff, along with Chong electrolytic caps. I know past builders
had some problems with those. I haven't, but just thought I would point it out. I really
have not had a chance to put it through it's paces in a good amp, but it is what it is. Technique
is definitely involved

I can't quite tell from the picture,  is that a sharc processor?

As in Tayda caps?

That's what I was thinking. Too bad they don't also sell Cheech caps.

It's not exactly surprising.  EHX has always done some innovative stuff circuitry wise, but they also tend to build it with whatever inexpensive parts they can find.  That's part of how they can sell some of their stuff so inexpensively.

I'm kind of curious if between the organ, synth, mellotron, and e-piano pedals, if the components are mostly the same with a bit of different digital programming.

I would be highly surprised if it wasn't.

It's Analog Devices' logo, so very likely. It's a pretty powerful DSP.

My DMMTT1100 with original MN3005's has the chong caps....  Kinda ridiculous IMO as the original list was over $400 for those...

This might explain why they are often out of spec.

You got it. In about another year, once they're done milking the individual pedal sales, they'll come out with a "Deluxe" model in a bigger enclosure that can do what all of these did. All they'll have to do is add more knobs, because the chip itself can already do all of this.

I've used these Tayda caps a bunch and never had an issue?

I've been considering one of these, and looking to crack open the guts to see what's inside. I figure tracing aside, it all comes down to the digital processor in the end.
