Papilio inkjet waterslide decal paper - Warning

I received the new printer, a bottom of the line basic HP deskjet. Cost was $30. It prints great on my old decal paper. So, the conclusion of the story is that HP has apparently changed the ink in some of their higher end and all-in-one machines. So, if you have an HP printer that has one cartridge for the ink reservoir and nozzle, chances are it may have issues with waterslide paper at some point. HP is formulating their ink for photo paper, and at some point it may no longer work with decal paper.
I build, and once in a while I might sell, pedals as "Vertigo Effects".

Curious if the model # for the ink cartridge changed old vs. new.

Damn, I hope my Papilio inkjet paper is okay. It's definitely been over a year.

Your paper is fine. The problem turned out to be the ink cartridges. (See above)

I wonder if that's what my problem is.  I have clear inkjet paper that used to make nice decals but, since we got a new printer, the images come out splotchy.  Despite much trial and error, I have not found a combination of settings that looks good.
