Demo sounds really good, including the distortion. Love to see what's inside it. Description says the volume stays unity as gain increases. I'm suspicious it's VCA based.

I'd guess VCA too. I don't think a company that size would make something optical or FET based -- much less both. We have a few luxuries in the DIY world.
