SOLVED..dodgy CD4049 wasn't it. Now working great!

Theres the culprit on the left compared to 2 genuine ones on the right. Thought it might be just that 1 but turns out it was the whole batch of 5 that i had. its got an appointment later with a large hammer, the stress its caused me this week!

Should it be the BE version of the chip or the UBE?
Having a little swooshing noise where by the flange signal can be heard going in and out of phase. It can be heard on the clean channel of the amp but is worst a high gain settings.
