Bass pedals, please: Compressor, Octave (below), and envelope filter.

I have recently switched from guitar to bass, and would like to build pedals specific to the bass. After playing my first bass gig in the French Quarter last weekend, I realized I need a good compressor that has attack and decay controls, and most importantly, a blend control to keep the low frequencies intact and clean. I need something to limit the volume on the loud notes in order to preserve the structural integrity of the old architecture. 

An example of what I would like to build is the new MXR "Bass Compressor M87." The new LED on the M87 is cool, but not necessary. I will likely end up buying this pedal, like the MXR M-80 I bought last week, but I'd also like to build this pedal.

I also like the MXR "Bass Octave Deluxe M288" and the "Bass Envelope Filter M82," as both of these pedals not only sound great, but they are very versatile and have a small footprint. These are GAS pedals, so I will likely not buy them, but rather build them instead.

Fuzz/Distortion/OD pedals can be made using several existing Madbean projects, though it would be nice if all the project pages included the bass mods explicitly (some already do, thanks Brian).

I don't think that you'll get any Bass Octave Deluxe M288 layout any soon (they are full of bunch SMD's and that kind of shit and i think it ain't easy to hack them IMO), only if you'll have any luck like i did. My MXR El Grande Bass Fuzz broke, so i brought it to the service, where guy after fixing it gave me an original MXR schematic "in case it die again".
If you're interested, i can give you a layout for that pedal.

Forgive my ignorance, but which filter pedal is the Meat Sphere supposed to be emulating?

edit:  I mean I know it's based on the Mutron III, but in the musicpcb site they say, "It is based on a much-beloved boutique filter pedal, which was itself based on the old Mutron III filter."  I'm wondering what the boutique pedal is.

Well redbean, I've seen it now. 

I watched a vid of some kid with a meatball.  It sounded great, and the kid had some nice chops.  Very cool filters.

The lovetone meatball is better on bass than guitar depending who you ask

Not that I mind thread drift at all, but to add to the OP's point, I'd love to see a Madbean iteration of the Flipster. I dunno how the ethics of that would work out with a ROG project, but if it were cool to do that, well, that would be cool
