Isn't the extra stage at the front of the circuit?

Huh, so it is. I had just been reading r.g. Keen's easy mods page about putting a big muff tone control right befor the volume control on a circuit so I figured that's where it was on a muff. I haven't look a a Muff schematic for ages.

It's the buffer that is always present in the G2 design. There is a separate bypass buffer which is the one not included on this project.

The two buffer sections combined with the first BMP stage form a bandpass filter. I forget the exact 3dB down points but it was around 80Hz and 1kHz. I replaced the first three stages with an equivalent opamp-based MFB filter with gain 10 and couldn't tell the difference.

This is a slapback echo which I've set up for 9-12v DC supply instead of 18v like the original.

..will the FlimFlam still be useable as intended if i use MN3008...what modifications should be done to at least extend the delay time....i'll be using my 2 MN3005s for a total recall build and still have an MN3008 collecting dust on my drawer...tnx
