Anyone know of a good speaker cab simulator?

Anyone know of a decent cab sim? I'm getting tired of lugging my band in a box boss br80, laptop, and speaker monitor to work. I'd like to just bring my guitar, 1 or 2 of my multi builds, a cab sim, and my headphones or monitor. Plus, when I change things up and bring a different guitar with me(actives instead of passive or vice versa) I have to spend time redoing "sweet spot" patches when I should just be practicing. Thanx in advance for any help.

The hotline I've heard good things about but haven't tried it.

I've got a cab sim build in the works but forgot which schem at the moment.  Hope to post a build and will include the schematic too, which included an etch able transfer.

Oldhousescott- do you if there are any layout for any of the ones you mentioned? I looked for over 2 hours and only found a few other than the condor.

As you can see, it's just a passive treble peaking filter followed by two Sallen-Key low-pass filters. Not terribly exotic, and not as complex as the Condor. I've got a Red Box III (passive version) and it's useable in a pinch, but nowhere near as realistic as the newer digital convolution boxes that can load cabinet IRs.

If you're looking for something on the cheap, just get a Behringer ULTRA-G GI100 DI box with cab sim and call it a day.

On the other hand I do know a lot of sound engineers who absolutely love the Red Box.

It probably depends on what you're using it for. I can understand that in a studio environment every detail matters as you want your sound to be as true to the original as possible. In a live situation, all that matters is getting a good sound through the mix.

Got one of these... not too bad actually.  The best in-box cabsim imo is in the Blackstar HT line of pedals, it just sounds great using it.  Wish someone would find a schematic of that!
