Looking at a used guitar, this was my concern. Sorry for the low quality picture.

I build, and once in a while I might sell, pedals as "Vertigo Effects".

Hard to say from that pic, but that would make me nervous. If it is the wood, that would be a tough repair I think. Not like when it breaks along the scarf joint.
