Here is one I built for a local guy that wanted an awesome 8-bit machine. I have to say this thing is an absolute blast. I found myself messing with it for many hours. There are some really bitchin fuzz octave tones to be had in addition to the bleepy-bleep stuff  ;)  Do I build one for myself now?

Awesome looking! So glad these are starting to show up now. I received my board but am currently out of the country so as soon as I get back I'll make one, soooo anxious to get started!

Thanks guys. The plate is just copper dipped in tin solution. I polished it good with Brasso before tinning it. Came out pretty nice.

just gotta add the build is really quite simple but make sure you spend time aligning the switches very carefully when soldering. I had to do a little shoe-horning to get my pcb to drop in my drilled enclosure.

It won't be picked up until later in the week so I get to have some more fun with it.  ;D

Beautiful work JP. Any chance you could show/explain your tinning method in a tutorial? I, for one, would be extremely grateful.

Not really much to it once you etch your plate. Just polish it good with some Brasso BEFORE tinning it. Drop the plate in the solution for about 2-3 minutes and its done.

Here is the stuff I used:
