Current lover - Rate LED?

is it possible in any way, to include a Rate LED for the current lover?
a LED that blinks with the current rate (speed)

the original didnt have one too, but im just curious

Try this: solder a wire to pin14 of IC5. Solder the other end to a 1k resistor. Solder the resistor to the + side of you LED. Solder the - side of the LED to ground (or a wire that is soldered to ground).

Not sure if i should make a new thread for this or bring this one back from the dead, so I'll start here. I just finished the Current Lover, and my rate LED only blinks when the pot is almost fully clockwise. From 0%-95%, it stays solid. Do I need to experiment with the value of R36 maybe? The clock trim? Has this issue ever been reported before?

Putting an update here in case anyone else searches for this later.

I had luck increasing the value of R36 from 1k to 17k (I was lazy and just put a 16k resistor in series with the one I had on the board).

The brightness drops off noticeably, however you can see the pulse of the light better, down to 30% of the range.

A Schmitt trigger would probably sort this well, not knowing the circuit.
I assume it's a sine(ish) signal on pin 14.
