Muff/mudbunny diode switch mod wiring?

I can't seem to find the answer to this-- must not be searching properly! I want to put some diode options on a switch from the first and/ or second stage. I know how to do the  switch, but not exactly how to wire it to the PCB. Is one wire to one part of the first diode and the other to part of the second?

Methinks that would work, the pads of the two diodes are linked after all. Usually though you solder one wire to one pad of a diode and the other wire to the other pad of the same diode.

there are two clipping stages a dpdt switch will be te one id use, on-on, or a rotary for multiple options.

the idea its that one part of the diode its always connected to the pcb, in fact, all diodes should have the same point connected always to the pcb, the other part of the diodes goes to one side of the switch, and the center lug of the switch should be to the other point of the pcb, you have to wire the diodes on the polarity for clipping, and remenber that there its a common pad on the diodes, so he idea its that you could use the always connected part of the diode in the signal clipping input, and the middle lug of the switch on the output of the signal clipping

as you can see on the image the common part of the diodes its always conected to the pcbs, they are using that part where the pcb connect one diode with other to avoid to much wire in one pad, and the output, ot the switched part its the signal clipping output, for exmple on the first stage, i would connect the always on part od the diodes, to the pad coming from c5, and the middle part of the switch on c6, for the second stage the always on to c8 and the switched to c9, you could use a spdt on-on and use two one for every stage to combine cliping diodes per stage, or use a dpdt the switch both stages once...

Thanks! I was overthinking this. I can see that the two diodes run one after the other-- so it doesn't matter if I hook the in/out of the switch to one diode or the start of one and the end of the other... they run together so it really doesn't matter. Thanks for the rundown...really appreciate it.

dont worry, we all have the same question the first time we try a clipping diode mod
