pt2399 lock up

Ei there. I have a Sea Urchin that I've built that doesn't always put out delay. Sometimes the delay just stops working. Could this be a case of the Chip delay locking up?
I've even rebuilt the board and made a tidier build and still sometimes I don't get delay.

Is there a way of fixing this?

No, I haven't connected those pins to ground. What is the procedure?
I've also tried another IC and the same happened.

Since Pin 3 is already connected to ground, shoud I just jumper 3 with 4!?

By the way, on the sea urchin schemattic, the pt2399 pin configuration(numbers) is different. Pins 3 and 4 on the schemattic are 7 and 8 on the IC datasheet pinout. How do I follow this?

The schematic PT2399 is the same.  The pins are just relocated on the schematic PT2399 for ease of making the schematic, its not the pinout.

Pins are pins...the numbering doesn't change with IC's.  Just connect pins 3 and 4 as per the data sheet with a small old resistor lead trimming.

i have seen this prolem on my zero point microII, but as my pt2399 were from tayda,i thought i was a bad IC, but zero point the DGND(pin4) its not connected with AGND(pin3), should the same fix work??

Yes, the same fix will work if you are having a problem with your pt2399 locking up.

interesting, i have never read about the locking up, but when debugging my first thought was bad grounding, after many time i pulled out, and use back to my cavedweller, i had to unplug and plug the pedal many times to get delay... i will try this fix tomorrow
