Pork Barrel Trimmer sub

I don't have a 10k trimmer, but I do have a 25k. Will that be an okay substitution? Will that make adjustments too sensitive? or longer sweep between noticeable changes? I suppose all of the intended adjustment would take place in the first half of the sweep, and it would be more sensitive to adjustments?
