hi all, i got a present from a good friend, its a guyatone funky box, its uses a 12ax7 tube, but i cant power it, im using a voodoo lab power supply but the pedal at 12V DC works but the output its so poor, the pedal have a 12V DC mark up and dowm, but its rare a pedal that uses a tube to have DC, could it be 12 AC??

Huh? Do you mean the pedal has a mark like this?

thats AC mark, the mark on the pedal its DC, but look at he bottom plate its says use an AC adapter

but, i see inside there its a diode in the input of power, the same way we use for pedal on DC... so im kind of unsure, even if the say its AC on their page

I think the newer "Flip" series is AC.

Somewhat confusingly, DC supplies are referred to as AC adaptors as they adapt the AC in to DC.

So yes it's 12V DC as self destroyer states.

From the picture above, it is definitely a DC power input.

AC does not have polarity on the connector tips

The supplied AC to DC adaptor is supposed to be at 200mA. Could it be the current limit on your power supply that's causing the problem?

i have tried a 1500ma power supply and syill the same, low output and the tube doesnt bright as it should

Tried replacing the tube?

4 different tubes, even lower  gain tubes but no luck still the same noise, the only i have not tried its an AC supply

Don't put an AC supply in, you'll kill it.

i already did.. and kill my supply, padal its ok... i need to debug this guy

Well that probably damaged all the active components in it... opamps, transistors, possibly electros too are likely dead or damaged now.
